There is a reason why you see a lot of the same cars at the track-they work. I see a good amount of F80’s along with the aforementioned Porsche GT cars, Miatas, JDM (light, easy to drive), Caymans, Corvettes, Mustangs etc. Audi’s are rare and so are BMW M Performance cars like the M340i. They just aren’t designed for the track imho.
Main things are: 1. S5 for some reason has worse aerodynamics. So at high speeds S4 should be faster :) 2. S5 has smaller clearance that starts to make problems during winter times (if there is winter in your region) 3. S5 obviously is more difficult to get in/out due to two doors, especially in a tight parking. 4.
The car is so good that it may leave many wondering what the car's bigger brother, the RS4 could bring to the table. With a more expensive price tag and little additional usable power in the real world, the S4 is the thinking man's fast Audi A4. I've been going back and forth myself. Can't decide. Go for the springs first. Closing the gap will make the 19" look bigger. Also, the offset of the OEM wheel is not very aggressive for a 8.5".Verdict: Fast, capable, lovely interior. But somehow loses the ’S’ edge that we used to like so much - feels like a very fast lesser model, rather than RS lite. 7/10. Price: £46,000. Engine
