HRM Pro struggling to keep connection. I picked up a secondhand HRM Pro last week from CEX, so it has a warranty, but as they test everything before sale I wasn't hoping to need to use it.. However I've had very poor results both running with my Garmin Fenix3, and on Zwift using AppleTV. The unit can't seem to maintain a connection for very long.
Sounds like the battery is weak and you're getting cadance lock. Clean up the internals and replace the battery then reassess. You can also try removing its connection from your watch then replace the battery and add it again after. r/Garmin.
Surprisingly, at least from Garmin, the Garmin Forerunner 945 only has one version but it can also be bought bundled up with the HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim heart rate monitors for an extra $150 / £130. I learned while in the water do not attempt to modify the current work-out while the HRM-TRI is under water. It will lose the connection with the 920, I ended up losing half of data from the swim work-out. My point, do not change the work-out settings while under water. My second experience with the HRM-TRI was at a formal Olympic tri. I second this. Sometimes I get small rashes/ mini pimples even after very long runs (that go away after a day) from rubbing/ the skin not breathing. i would - if possible - advise you to put it on at a bathroom break at work before you leave. The workplace must have some sort of restroom. The connection between my 945 and HRM-Pro is ok and the connection between GCM with both my 945 and HRM is ok too. But I do a run activity on my watch, it notice that the connection between my watch and HRM-Pro status is Connected, after I finished activity and check on the GCM app the Running Dynamics did not record!? Please help me! I've been wearing just the strap for about 2 hours. It appears that only heart rate and steps are being tracked. Stress is not. Body battery is being estimated. Stairs are not tracked. I would not consider this to be a replacement for daily activity tracking.
