It makes the car tiring to drive in traffic, grinds the gears (particularly reverse) and will eventually damage the gearbox. There are various theories as to why this happens- one being the clutch pressure plate becoming weak. This would be solved by clutch replacement but as seen above, doesn't always fix it.
I have the same gearbox problem. Mine is a Kia Cee'd 2010 (facelift) diesel 6 speed gearbox. It annoys me ass hell that when i want to put it on neutral and then it wont get in to first gear or rear. I must put it in third first then it works. I told shortly to my Kia dealer and he said wait till it gets worse
Loss of power!Please help! I'm having an acceleration issues as well. I need your opinion. It has it's good days and bad days.. I drive a 2014 KIA forte EX.. It only has 1000 some miles on it. I got it brand new. When I slightly accelerate, the rpm seems to get stuck at 2000 or 2500 for a couple of seconds maybe like 6-8..
At least it’s practical. This Ceed has the same overall length and wheelbase as the previous model, though the wheels have been shifted forward to decrease the front overhang and boost the rear

Hi all. I have a cee'd 1.6 crdi 113bhp 60 reg 15K miles. Love the car but have an ongoing issue with the 1st 3 gears. Not sure what the proper technical term is for describing this but when I change into 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear it feels as if there is movement in the cogs and they make a clonking/scraping noise. 4th, 5th and 6th are much smoother.

Problem bleeding up clutch. Hi, Our Sedona 2.9 05 plate had a stiff gear box which once the engined was turned off would slip into gear lovely. We found a leak on the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Ordered new one and bled that up but it still felt spongey so we Bled it somemore to then discover a fine spray coming out of the Clutch master Cylinder. AS5z.
