Malcolm McDowell (born Malcolm John Taylor; 13 June 1943) [1] [2] is an English actor. He is known for portraying Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange (1971) and the title character in the "Mick Travis trilogy" (1968–1982). McDowell is the recipient of an Evening Standard British Film Award, alongside nominations for Golden Globe and Screen Alex DeLarge. Unprovoked rampages of “ultraviolence” are characteristic of Alex DeLarge, the main character in Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of “A Clockwork Orange.” DeLarge takes juvenile delinquency to a new extreme as he and a gang consisting of other sociopathic teenagers commit horrific violent crimes across dystopian Britain. Cinema is full of psychopaths, from Alex DeLarge to Alex Forrest, but they’re not all created equal. In fact, some are downright unrealistic. Psychos have been manipulating their way across the silver screen since the silent era, and as our understanding of psychology evolves, so does the onscreen portrayal of these manipulative monsters. Clockwork meaning something machinery and mechanical, always ticking the same way, and orange being something natural, like the mind of this film’s protagonist, Alex DeLarge I’m about to go out and say it, I think this is a film anyone studying film should see, I think people tend to overreact to the violence in this film, although it is frequent, it’s almost never bloody and when it is Horace Pinker is the main antagonist of Wes Craven's black comedy Shocker. He is first introduced as a psychotic TV repairman who slaughters entire families. When finally caught and executed in the electric chair, he returns from the dead with a new array of demonic powers, including the power to control electricity and the ability to enter people's dreams. He was portrayed by Mitch Pileggi With Alex Delarge it’s a matter of emphasizing the characters youth corrupted by the world around him. Milk in all of these cases has a different symbolic purpose.
